Therapists Deserve Better

If you’ve been in this field for more than five minutes, you already know the problem. Private practice is isolating, under-resourced, and burns you out before you hit your stride. Group practices take too much and give too little. The insurance system is a full-time job nobody signed up for. And somewhere in the middle of all of it, you’re supposed to show up fully present for the people who need you most. We got tired of that being the only option.

Our team is determined to create the antidote to burnout. We do this by building a culture of shared values, making mental health a priority (that includes ours!), and treating this work as the gift it is.

The team at Unleashed Counseling has chosen to be held to a higher standard. Every one of us lives these values: Anti-racist practice. LGBTQ+ affirming care. Animal welfare. Environmental stewardship. BOTH Client AND clinician wellbeing. These are the requirements of the job, not aspirations.
